AWS Karpenter is an open source, flexible, high-performance Kubernetes cluster autoscaler built with AWS. Launched almost a year ago, the open source tool is seeing increased momentum. Karpenter helps improve your application availability and cluster efficiency by rapidly launching right-sized compute resources in response to changing application load.

There are a few gotchas though. It can be tough to know whether or not you've configured clusters properly, and to ensure you aren't autoscaling when you shouldn't be. These missteps may become very expensive very fast.

In this webinar, the Fairwinds team will demonstrate how to configure your Kubernetes clusters to avoid these issues and ensure your apps are ready to scale properly. You will get:

- An overview of AWS Karpenter

- The pros and cons of the autoscaler

- How open source policy engines like Polaris can help ensure your app is ready to move to Kubernetes
